Hush, Hush – Becca Fitzpatrick

I began this book at first to be in line to read Crescendo, the sequel, which was one of the @TravelingVamps  (Sisterhood of the Traveling Vamps) Book Club choices and then both were voted to be part of the @N2Fan (N2Fan) Young Adult Fiction Book Club.

Unlike some of the lead female characters in the more popular supernatural/fantasy series I really like Nora. I didn’t feel that she was being selfish or took too long to figure things out. She is smart and she is a character that a lot can be built on for many more books if the author chooses to do so.

Patch had me captivated from moment one of being mentioned. It did remind me a bit of Edward/Bella (Twilight) with the partnered up thing and that seemed just slightly unoriginal but it played well.

I believe all the main characters in the twisting story of this mystery and romance were well crafted. Although I don’t know that it proved “love” along the way for the 2 that ended up together per se. I think that is something that happens too often in these types of books where the love is based on the supernatural draw of one or more characters rather than two people having enough in common to fall in love.

With all of that said, I’m still extremely anxious to find out what happens next with these characters in Crescendo!
